Dodgers Fall to Blue Jays in Thrilling World Series Showdown
HOUSTON, Texas — The Los Angeles Dodgers faced a heartbreaking defeat against the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 3 of the 2025 World Series, losing 5-4 on Monday night. With this win, the Blue Jays now lead the series 2-1.
The game saw an impressive performance from Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette, who drove in a key run during the seventh inning. His line drive allowed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to dash from first base to home plate, beating the tag and sparking celebrations among Blue Jays fans.
“That was an aggressive send and flashy slide,” said manager John Schneider after the game. “We needed that boost and Bo delivered.”
The Dodgers held the lead earlier in the game, but the tide turned quickly. Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski struggled in relief, which opened the door for Toronto as they capitalized on missed opportunities. Blue Jays’ Ty France came in strong during the seventh, effectively replacing George Springer, who exited the game after injuring his right side on a swing.
Despite the setback, the Dodgers fought to recover, with commendable performances by Blake Treinen and Blake Treinen. However, their efforts were not enough to hold off the surging Blue Jays.
The teams will meet again in Game 4 on Tuesday, where the Dodgers will look to even the series and survive in the championship race.
