Dolphins Trail Browns at Halftime Amid Waller Injury Concerns

Miami, FL – The Miami Dolphins are struggling in a must-win game against the Cleveland Browns, trailing 17-6 at halftime. Adding to their woes, star tight end Darren Waller has suffered a concerning pectoral injury.
According to the official X account, Waller is questionable to return due to the injury sustained during the second quarter. This setback is especially troubling for Miami’s offense, which has struggled throughout the season.
Waller, who returned from retirement to join the Dolphins, had previously missed the first three games of the regular season with a hip injury. Upon his return, he made a significant impact with 117 yards and four touchdowns, but has been used sparingly since. His limited role in this game further complicates Miami’s efforts to generate offensive momentum against a solid Browns defense.
As the Dolphins face the possibility of dropping to a 1-6 record, there’s increasing speculation about the team possibly undergoing major changes before the trade deadline. A win today could ease some of that pressure.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is also facing scrutiny following recent comments he made about his teammates. After their narrow loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last week, he expressed frustration over teammates being late to meetings, which he later clarified in a press conference, saying, “I made a mistake and I’m owning up to that right now.”
Tagovailoa also emphasized the need for unity and focus within the team, stating, “What happens in-house should be protected. None should’ve gotten out.” The Dolphins will need to regroup quickly to avoid further complicating their season.
