Don Toliver and Doja Cat Launch F1 Movie Soundtrack With ‘Lose My Mind’

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Don Toliver and Doja Cat have released a new single, “Lose My Mind,” from the upcoming film soundtrack for “F1 the Movie.” The song debuted on Thursday and is expected to be a highlight of the album set to release alongside the film.
The music video, directed by Christian Breslauer, features Toliver in a Formula One car, delivering high-energy lyrics against a visually stunning backdrop. The video transforms the car into an X-ray version, emphasizing a race car dream sequence.
In the video, Toliver sings, “In my world, in my mind, always runnin’ out of time / In my love, in my heart, you’re the only kryptonite,” while standing on a podium made of driver helmets. This sets a dramatic tone for the collaboration.
Doja Cat makes her appearance later in the video, portrayed as a futuristic half-human being created by robots. She swings above a pool of oil as the visuals intensify. Her verse includes lines like, “You saw me at rock bottom, you wanted a new winner,” showcasing her ambition.
The album, titled “F1 the Album,” is produced by Ryan Tedder and includes contributions from renowned composer Hans Zimmer. Scheduled for release on June 27, the project comes alongside the film, which stars Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, and Lewis Hamilton.
The film’s plot follows a retired Formula One driver who mentors a younger racer, merging drama with the high-stakes world of motorsport. “Lose My Mind” serves as the lead single, highlighting the excitement surrounding both the soundtrack and the movie.
As the movie approaches its release date on June 25, anticipation builds for the star-studded tracklist and the musical styles blending various genres.
