Donald Trump Watch Collection

In a surprising move, former U.S. President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump has ventured into the luxury watch market with the introduction of the “Official Trump Watch Collection.” Announced on Thursday, the collection features a series of diamond-encrusted timepieces, including the high-end Trump Tourbillon Victory watch priced at $100,000.

The collection, a product of BestWatchesOnEarth LLC, includes Swiss-made limited-edition Trump Tourbillon Victory models as well as “Fight Fight Fight” watches. The latter, a more affordable offering, is priced between $499 and $799 depending on the model, as stated by the licensing company. Despite the luxurious pricing, the listings on sales websites assure that proceeds from these watches do not benefit Trump’s campaign directly.

The Trump Tourbillon Victory watch harbors a tourbillon escapement, noted for its complex mechanism designed to compensate for the effects of gravity, which traditionally raises the price of such timepieces above $100,000. While exact details of the movement used in these watches remain undisclosed, the price includes the value of its 18-karat gold casing and diamond adornments, alongside the tourbillon mechanism.

According to the website promoting the watches, which stresses that products are neither designed, sold, nor distributed by Trump or his organization, the watches use his name under a paid license agreement. The products feature various gold designs and boast limited production with each watch signed and individually numbered.

The “Fight Fight Fight” models, targeting a more sport-oriented market, include options in stainless steel and gold-plated variations. These watches are equipped with the Japanese-made TMI NH36 caliber by Seiko and bear Trump’s signature on the dial.

Trump, known for tying his business ventures to his political campaigns, has faced scrutiny over potential monetization of his presidential bid. Although his team has noted that the watch collection is separated from campaign financials, concerns persist regarding the potential conflicts between his business interests and political ambitions.

This launch follows a string of other business ventures tied to Trump’s name, from sneakers and fragrances to NFTs and collectible coins. The current watch collection coincides with Trump’s ongoing third campaign for the presidency, coming just 40 days before Election Day.

The sales strategy aligns with Trump’s historically diversified licensing deals, leveraging his public image in various forms, a practice that sparked debate about Trump’s ability to navigate both business and politics. Both the Trump campaign and TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC were contacted for comments but did not provide immediate responses.
