Dramas Hit Record Ratings in A Single Night
On August 18, three popular Korean dramas broke their previous viewership records, and the numbers are exciting for fans!
First up is ‘Romance in the House‘, which really made a splash. The romantic comedy achieved a nationwide average rating of 5.3 percent for its fourth episode. That’s the highest it has seen since it premiered!
The drama stars Ji Jin Hee as Byun Moo Jin, a man who surprises everyone when he returns as a wealthy landlord after everyone thought he was gone for good.
Next is ‘Love Next Door‘, which also climbed up the ratings ladder! Its second episode jumped to an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent, which is over a full point higher than its premiere. This show, created by the same team behind the hit ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’, features Jung So Min and Jung Hae In in lead roles.
And let’s not forget about ‘Beauty and Mr. Romantic’, which soared to an impressive average rating of 19.5 percent. This makes it the top program to watch on Sundays! Fans have been hooked by the story of an actress trying to bounce back with the help of her loving producing director.
In contrast, the new drama ‘DNA Lover‘ premiered with a much quieter nationwide average rating of just 0.6 percent for its second episode. Looks like it has some catching up to do!
