Dreamville Fest Unveils Lineup for Final Celebration in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — The Dreamville Festival is set to return to Raleigh’s historic Dorothea Dix Park on April 5-6, 2025, for its fifth and final edition, featuring an impressive lineup of artists.
This year’s headliners include Grammy-winning musicians Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, Tems, and J. Cole, alongside performers like 21 Savage, PartyNextDoor, Ludacris, GloRilla, Wale, Coco Jones, and Ari Lennox, who is returning after missing last year’s festival.
Organizers announced in December that 2025 will mark the last year for the festival in North Carolina. The annual event boasted an economic impact of approximately $145 million last year, attracting over 104,000 attendees, as well as featuring more than 75 vendors, food trucks, artisans, and artistic installations.
“J. Cole’s vision has turned Dreamville Fest into one of the largest artist-led festivals globally,” said festival spokesperson Mark Wright. “We expect this final event will build on that legacy.”
Launched in 2018, Dreamville Fest was initially scheduled for September of that year but was postponed until April 2019 due to Hurricane Florence, where it enjoyed immediate success. Following a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, the festival made a triumphant return in 2022, expanding to include two full days.
The festival experience features more than just music; attendees can enjoy a Ferris wheel, various art installations, and free programming throughout Downtown Raleigh leading up to the event.
As anticipation builds for 2025, Raleigh’s hotel occupancy is expected to surge, with local hotels filling quickly after the artist lineup announcement. Traffic flow maps have also been released, suggesting alternate routes for drivers to minimize congestion near the festival grounds. Fans can utilize shuttle services from downtown Raleigh and parking options at North Carolina State University.
No replacement festival has been announced yet, but local officials with Visit Raleigh have indicated their commitment to developing a new music festival for the city.
