DreamWorks Animation Reveals Trailer for Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie

VANCOUVER, Canada — DreamWorks Animation released the official trailer for “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” on Thursday. The film, set to hit theaters on Sept. 26, 2025, mixes live-action and animation to continue the adventures from the popular TV series.
Directed by Ryan Crego, the movie features Laila Lockhart Kraner reprising her role as Gabby. In the film, Gabby embarks on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi to visit the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco.
However, trouble arises when Gabby’s magical dollhouse is taken by the eccentric and villainous cat lady Vera, played by Kristen Wiig. Gabby, now wearing her magical cat ears, and Grandma Gigi team up to save the dollhouse before it is too late.
In the trailer, Vera ominously states, “This dollhouse will complete my cat collections,” showcasing her desire for Gabby’s beloved toy. The film is co-written by Ryan Crego, Melanie Wilson LaBracio, and Adam Wilson.
The animated characters will complement the major live-action roles, creating a fantastical world inside Gabby’s dollhouse. Produced by Steven Schweickart, known for films like “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Kung Fu Panda 4,” the movie promises to capture the charm of the TV series.
The original “Gabby’s Dollhouse” series streams on Netflix, where it follows a young girl who shrinks into her dollhouse to explore a world filled with animated feline friends known as the Gabby Cats.
