EastEnders Sparks Speculation About Carol Jackson’s Return
The popular BBC One soap opera EastEnders has once again stirred intrigue among its viewers after recent episodes hinted at potential developments involving former character Carol Jackson. The speculation arose following a conversation between characters David Wicks, played by Michael French, and Bianca Jackson, portrayed by Patsy Palmer.
Carol, last seen on the show in 2015, was a topic of conversation when David inquired about her well-being. This conversation comes in the wake of both David and Bianca’s return to Albert Square and follows a series of comments throughout the episodes that have sparked fan theories about a possible comeback.
During a recent episode, David Wicks expressed surprise over not being able to contact Carol. His baffling statement raised eyebrows as fans recalled Bianca was on the phone with Carol just a week prior. “Carol isn’t replying?” one fan questioned on social media, echoing the confusion many viewers felt.
Another fan speculated, “I still feel like something is brewing there,” while others suggested the frequent mentions of Carol Jackson could be foreshadowing a storyline twist. “So many Carol Jackson mentions—it’s foreshadowing trust,” mused a viewer online.
Adding to the drama surrounding Carol’s status, recent plotlines have seen Bianca struggling with personal issues, prompting loved ones like Kat Slater and Freddie Slater to suspect she may have ADHD. David Wicks was called to Walford to support Bianca, further intertwining the storyline with Carol’s lingering presence and absence.
Lindsey Coulson, the actress synonymous with Carol Jackson, has not confirmed any current plans to reprise her role. Viewers remain hopeful though, as speculation continues to mount amid the ongoing drama.
EastEnders continues to grip audiences with its intricate web of relationships and suspense, airing Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30 pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
