Election Day 2024 Polling Places And Voters

As the 2024 General Election takes place on November 5, various county boards of elections are making final preparations to ensure a smooth voting process. In Wake County, North Carolina, polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters are advised to check their sample ballots and polling locations through the N.C. State Board of Elections voter search page.

Voters in Wake County will be required to show an acceptable form of photo identification, although those without ID will have the option to vote provisionally or complete a photo ID exception form. Absentee ballots must be delivered to the Board of Elections Operations Center by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

In Hamilton County, Ohio, early voting at the Early Vote Center has closed, and voters are encouraged to check their voter registration and find their polling places through the county’s election website. The board is performing routine updates to its voter database, and voters are advised to check back for updated information.

In Erie County, Pennsylvania, accommodations have been made for voters who did not receive their mail-in ballots. These voters can pick up a replacement ballot at the Elections and Voter Registration Office until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, or vote a provisional ballot at their assigned polling place on Election Day. The county has also set up a phone line for voters with disabilities or illnesses who cannot visit the office.

Erie County officials expect potentially longer lines on Election Day due to the presidential election and the need for some voters to cast provisional ballots. Poll workers are well-prepared, and unofficial results will begin to be posted after the close of polls on Election Night.
