Elizabeth Hurley Talks Romance with Billy Ray Cyrus at Charity Event

New York, NY – Elizabeth Hurley opened up about her new romance with Billy Ray Cyrus at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party on May 13. The 59-year-old actress and model said that many people were surprised by their relationship, but it didn’t shock her.

“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” Hurley told Page Six. “It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well.” She highlighted their shared interests, stating, “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. We both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common – and cowboy boots, definitely.”

Hurley attended the event wearing a stunning pink ruffled gown and was accompanied by her 23-year-old son, Damian. The event featured a performance by pop star Sting and raised funds for breast cancer research, a cause Hurley has supported for 30 years.

However, she admitted to feeling emotional during her speeches at the event. “I always have to stop myself crying whenever I go on stage for the first time,” she explained. “A lot of people in this audience have been affected by breast cancer.”

Hurley’s romance with Cyrus has drawn attention since they shared a public photo together on Easter, April 20. Cyrus confirmed that they first met on the set of the holiday film, “Christmas in Paradise,” in 2021, where they felt an instant connection. He recalled, “There was a chemistry there. We just laughed.”

After losing touch, Hurley reached out to Cyrus at a difficult time in his life following his divorce from Firerose. “She sent a kind text, saying, ‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough, and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner,’” Cyrus shared.

As their relationship blossoms, Cyrus expressed his happiness, stating, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.” He also plans to visit Hurley soon in England.
