The couple originally purchased the property in 2021 for approximately $2.9 million, making this their third investment in the Montecito area within a single year. “I don’t really travel a lot, so house flipping is my version of travel,” DeGeneres remarked in a 2023 interview with The Riv. “With house flipping, the scenery changes though I stay in the same general area.” Over her expansive career, she has acquired and sold over 50 houses.
