Ellen Degeneres Cotswolds House For Sale

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Ellen DeGeneres is selling her Montecito, California, home following her move to the Cotswolds in the UK last year with her wife, actress Portia de Rossi.

The couple made headlines for their relocation after DeGeneres announced her departure from the United States in protest against Donald Trump’s impending 2024 presidential campaign. While some reports have linked the timing to the election, it has been revealed that they purchased their Cotswolds property prior to the election outcome.

DeGeneres, 67, is now parting with a two-bedroom, two-bathroom investment property in Montecito. The home, listed at $4.9 million, has already drawn multiple offers, with a bid around $300,000 above the asking price reportedly accepted, according to People magazine.

Despite facing challenges such as flooding in the Cotswolds, DeGeneres seems determined to sever her final ties to the U.S. Earlier this month, she sold her previous residence in Montecito.

The actress-comedian and her wife now reside in an $18 million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, where they have been seen enjoying their new surroundings and socializing at local spots, including Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, near Burford.

“We really love this area,” DeGeneres was quoted as saying in a recent interview, highlighting the pair’s happy new life in England.
