Elmo and Cookie Monster Kick Off New Bluey Book Reads Series

BRISBANE, Australia – In an exciting melding of childhood favorites, Elmo and Cookie Monster from “Sesame Street” are set to launch the second season of “Bluey Book Reads”. The new digital series premieres on April 15, featuring the beloved characters reading the lift-the-flap board book, “What Games Should We Play?”
The collaboration is aimed at bringing entertaining and educational content to fans of both series. “A Sesame Street-Bluey collaboration is the perfect way to provide entertaining and engaging content to fans of both popular series,” said Jenny Gioia, VP of Content and Programming at Sesame Workshop. “We are excited to have Elmo and Cookie Monster encourage playful learning and a love of reading with Bluey Book Reads.”
Since its inception, the “Bluey Book Reads” series has seen impressive engagement, with over 75 million views across Bluey’s digital channels. New episodes will be released bi-weekly on the official Bluey YouTube channel, making it easily accessible for families worldwide. The full release schedule for the season includes contributions from several celebrity readers:

Elmo and Cookie Monster’s involvement marks the first time Muppets have appeared in the series, adding recognizable charm to the franchise. “We are thrilled to see how beautifully our historic illustrations have been reimagined,” Jenny Gioia added, emphasizing the joy this project brings to children.
