Entergy Mississippi has announced a significant $10 billion planned investment by Amazon Web Services Inc., aimed at enhancing long-term power reliability and affordability for all Entergy Mississippi customers. This investment is expected to bring new jobs and economic development opportunities to the region, contributing to the overall economic growth and stability of the area..

In addition to this major investment, Entergy is also focusing on community development and educational initiatives. Recently, Jackson State University received a $2 million grant from the Entergy Charitable Foundation to establish the Critical Power Grid Network Security Lab. This lab will play a crucial role in advancing the security and resilience of power grids, aligning with Entergy’s commitment to building healthy and vibrant communities.

Entergy’s community efforts extend beyond financial support. The company is deeply involved in volunteerism, low-income customer service initiatives, advocacy, and resilient infrastructure investments. Since 2018, Entergy has delivered over $100 million in economic benefits to local communities through philanthropy, volunteerism, and advocacy. In 2023, Entergy employees and retirees contributed more than 130,000 volunteer hours, valued at $3.3 million, to their communities.

The company’s “The Power to Care” program has also been instrumental in providing emergency bill payment assistance to older adults and customers with disabilities. Since 2008, this program has raised more than $50 million to help over 250,000 vulnerable customers.
