Florida Rapper Foolio Fatally Shot in Tampa Hotel Parking Lot

Florida rapper Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident at a hotel parking lot in Tampa. The 26-year-old artist was celebrating his birthday at the time of the shooting.

Jones, known by his stage name Foolio, had gained a significant following on Instagram, with over a million followers, and had a substantial listening audience on Spotify.

His lawyer, Lewis Fusco, confirmed the unfortunate news of Jones’ passing, stating that the rapper was ambushed at a Holiday Inn after being kicked out of an Airbnb earlier that night.

In a series of Instagram stories, Jones had documented his birthday celebrations, inviting followers to a pool party and later updating them on the events of the evening. Just hours before the shooting, he expressed gratitude to his supporters, claiming it was the ‘best birthday ever.’

Prior to his untimely death, Jones had released an album titled ‘Resurrection’ and had mentioned surviving multiple attempts on his life. The motive behind the shooting is currently under investigation by authorities in Tampa.
