The much-anticipated return of the thrilling BBC competition series, Race Across the World, is set to kick off its fourth series, promising viewers an unforgettable adventure. The show, which will showcase intense competition among five pairs, will take participants from the vibrant city of Sapporo, Japan, all the way to the picturesque destination of Lombok, Indonesia.

The premise of the series remains the same, with contestants challenged to navigate through various checkpoints without the aid of mobile phones or air travel. Armed with only a limited budget, a map, and reliance on public transport and the kindness of strangers, the teams aim to outdo each other in a race to secure the £20,000 prize fund.

Originally airing on BBC Two, Race Across the World transitioned to BBC One with its third season, and now fans can tune in for the new season every Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, ensuring an hour-long intense display of competition and strategy.

For the upcoming season, viewers can follow the journeys of ten diverse contestants, including pairs from Hertfordshire, Yorkshire, Barking, Birmingham, Kent, and Rutland. Each duo brings unique dynamics and motivations as they embark on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, testing their limits and camaraderie along the way.

With each episode releasing weekly on Wednesdays, fans can expect suspense, drama, and unexpected twists as the teams traverse Eastern Asia, conquering challenges and forming unforgettable memories. The show’s format ensures that audiences are glued to their screens, witnessing the emotional highs and lows of the participants as they strive to emerge victorious in this ultimate race across continents.
