Eva Longoria Embraces Aging Ahead of 50th Birthday

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — As actress, director, and producer Eva Longoria approaches her 50th birthday and celebrates two decades as a L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador, she speaks candidly about her journey with aging and beauty.

In a recent interview with Prevention, Longoria shared her evolution from a makeup-focused beauty routine to one centered around skincare. “You can’t lay good makeup on bad skin,” said Longoria, highlighting the importance of a solid foundation for any makeup application.

Longoria, who is enthusiastic about the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift line, emphasized the significance of products like hyaluronic acid and vitamin C in her daily regimen. “That’s one way I’ve shifted my beauty routine—I shifted it from makeup-focused to skincare-focused,” she explained. “All of the Revitalift series—the serums, the hyaluronic acid, the glycolic acid—I cannot live without.”

Among her favorite products is a glycolic acid serum, which she applies at night. “For me, it smooths fine lines,” she stated. In the mornings, Longoria follows a similar regimen: applying a serum followed by moisturizer before her makeup.

Longoria, who has been with L’Oréal Paris for 20 years, feels a strong connection to the brand’s values. She praised the company’s commitment to uplifting female changemakers through its philanthropic initiatives. “The reason I’ve been with L’Oréal for 20 years is that we have the same ideals,” Longoria noted.

As she nears her 50th birthday, Longoria remains optimistic about aging. “I think definitely there’s a weight to turning 50 in a good way,” she said. “I don’t mind aging. I just want to age well. And I think I’ve done that.” She expressed excitement about the wisdom that comes with age, stating, “I refuse to believe my greatest success is behind me.”
