The Final Jeopardy question was: “In an 1842 poem, it is said of this legendary character that his ‘quaint attire’ is much admired.” The correct answer is “Who is the Pied Piper of Hamelin?” This character is from Robert Browning’s poem “The Pied Piper of Hamelin,” which was written in 1842 and included in his collection “Dramatic Lyrics.”

Mike Ross, a teacher from Kansas City, Missouri, finished second after losing $3,100 with his incorrect answer of “Falstaff,” ending with $10,100. Susan Beachy, a news researcher from Queens, New York, finished third with $3,000 after her incorrect guess of “Longfellow.”
