Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman Embark on New European Adventure

LOS ANGELES, CA — Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are set to return to screens with their latest motorcycle documentary series, Long Way Home, premiering on Apple TV+ on May 9, 2025. The series follows their adventure across 17 European countries, showcasing the diverse cultures and landscapes they encounter along the way.
In this fourth installment of their acclaimed Long Way series, McGregor and Boorman ride restored vintage motorcycles, which include a 1974 Moto Guzzi and a 1972 BMW. They kick off their journey in Scotland and travel through countries such as Norway, Sweden, and Germany, culminating in a return to England.
The two friends, who have been sharing their adventures since Long Way Round debuted in 2004, emphasize the importance of having meaningful interactions with locals and experiencing the unique traditions of each region. “For the last 20 years, Charley and I have traveled to some of the farthest corners of the world; yet, we’ve never properly explored the countries on our own doorstep,” McGregor said.
Filming for the series took place over two months in 2024. McGregor and Boorman aim to highlight not just their travels but the bonds of friendship and the joy of exploration that they have cultivated over the years.
The documentary series carries on the legacy of its predecessors, focusing on adventure and cultural immersion rather than simply covering long distances. Viewers can expect to see breathtaking scenery, engaging local conversations, and unexpected moments of humor throughout the 10 episodes.
As fans eagerly await the premiere, the first trailer has sparked excitement, promising a blend of stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling. McGregor and Boorman’s dynamic friendship remains at the heart of this adventure as they continue to explore the world together.
Long Way Home will begin streaming on Apple TV+, offering viewers a chance to join McGregor and Boorman on this exciting journey.
