Avowed Game Xbox Pc Release Date

BETHESDA, MD — The highly anticipated fantasy RPG, Avowed, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, is set to launch in early access on February 13, 2025, for Windows PC and Xbox Series X, five days ahead of its general release on February 18.

Set in the familiar Pillars of Eternity universe, Avowed takes players on an epic journey through Eora’s Living Lands region. However, PlayStation 5 users will not have access to the game upon launch, as Xbox Game Studios has yet to announce plans for a PlayStation version.

According to the Xbox app store page, early access will go live at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (10 a.m. Pacific Time) on February 13. To gain early access, players will need to purchase either the Premium Edition or the Premium Upgrade Add-On, priced at $90 and $25 respectively. The Premium Edition includes bonus content such as cosmetic skin packs for party members, a digital artbook, and the game’s soundtrack.

The standard edition of Avowed will be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on February 18, 2025. Players interested in early access must hold a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, as the game will not be available for Standard or Core subscribers.

“Avowed is poised to be one of the standout titles of the year. We are excited to offer our dedicated fans this early access opportunity to explore the Living Lands,” said an Xbox Game Studios spokesperson.

As the launch date approaches, players are advised to prepare their gaming systems. The estimated file size for Avowed is approximately 75 GB, and gamers should ensure they have enough free space to download the game. Preloading for Xbox users is already available, although PC players will need to wait for further instructions.

With excitement mounting within the gaming community, early access offers a unique opportunity for players to engage with the game and provide feedback ahead of the full release. Additionally, the early access option reflects a growing trend in the gaming industry where fans are eager to experience titles before their official launch.

For those looking to secure their access, it’s crucial to check which Game Pass version they hold, as this will determine their eligibility for early play.
