Exciting Hoopa Unbound Raid Day Set for February 15, 2025

HOOPA UNBOUND, CALIFORNIA — The inaugural Hoopa Unbound Raid Day is scheduled for February 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time, offering Pokémon Trainers an exciting opportunity to engage in five-star raids featuring the mysterious Djinn Pokémon.

After its debut during the Mischief Unbound event in November 2021, encounters with Hoopa Unbound have been rare. The upcoming Raid Day allows Trainers to participate in multiple raids, backed by an increase in Raid Passes. Trainers can obtain up to five additional Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, raising the total to seven for the duration of the event.

In addition, from February 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PST to February 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. PST, the Remote Raid Pass limit will rise to 20, allowing Trainers to participate in an expanded number of raids from their locations.

Hoopa Unbound is categorized as a Psychic- and Dark-type Pokémon, making it particularly vulnerable to Bug- and Fairy-type attacks, with Bug-type moves being most effective. Its base Combat Power (CP) ranges from 2,197 to 2,289 without a weather boost, increasing to 2,746 to 2,862 with such a boost.

Trainers are encouraged to prepare by selecting Bug- and Fairy-type Pokémon for their teams. Recommended Fast Attacks include Astonish (Ghost) and Confusion (Psychic), while Charged Attacks such as Dark Pulse (Dark), Shadow Ball (Ghost), and Psychic (Psychic) can prove beneficial.

While Hoopa Unbound may not dominate the GO Battle League, it remains one of the top Psychic-type attackers in Pokémon GO. Only a few Mega Pokémon and Mewtwo can outshine its utility in raids.
