Exclusive Sneak Peek at ‘Creature Commandos’ Season Finale Revealed
IGN has exclusively revealed a sneak peek at the seventh and final episode of the first season of ‘Creature Commandos,’ which premieres on Max on Thursday, January 9th. The season finale, titled ‘A Very Funny Monster,’ is written and executive produced by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn and directed by Matt Peters. The episode delves into Nina Mazursky’s origin story, voiced by Zoe Chao, while Princess Ilana, voiced by Maria Bakalova, attempts to escape death at the hands of the Creature Commandos.
The exclusive clip features key characters, including Alan Tudyk’s Dr. Phosphorus and Sean Gunn’s Weasel. The series boasts a stellar voice cast, including Steve Agee as Economos, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. The show has been praised for bridging the old DCEU and the new DCU, with IGN’s Tyler Roberston calling it a ‘rock solid story’ with James Gunn’s signature style of humor and action.
In the finale, Task Force M faces a moral dilemma as they uncover evidence suggesting Circe’s vision of a future war triggered by Princess Ilana may be false. Despite this, The Bride, driven by personal loss, takes decisive action. The episode concludes with a post-credits scene hinting at new recruits for Task Force M, including She-Bat and an upgraded G.I. Robot, setting the stage for a potential second season.
All episodes of ‘Creature Commandos’ Season 1 are now streaming on Max.
