Fans Demand Spinoff Show for ‘The View’ Co-Hosts After Viral Challenge
NEW YORK — Fans of ABC‘s The View are rallying for co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines to get their own spinoff show after the duo shared a hilarious video of themselves playing the “I Make The Face, You Make The Sound” challenge on Instagram last Thursday.
In the viral clip, Farah Griffin and Haines took turns pulling exaggerated facial expressions while the other matched them with equally absurd sound effects. The pair burst into laughter repeatedly, with their chemistry and comedic timing captivating viewers. The video quickly garnered widespread attention, with fans flooding the comments section to praise the duo and call for a dedicated show featuring the two hosts.
“It’s time for Alyssa and Sara to have their own show,” wrote one commenter. Another fan added, “You two are fabulous. Someday you guys will have your own show!” Others described the video as “the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time” and praised the hosts as “the best thing to happen to @theviewabc.”
Farah Griffin and Haines currently co-host The View alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro. Haines, who first joined the show in 2016, left in 2018 to co-host ABC’s GMA3 before returning as a permanent co-host in 2020. Farah Griffin, a former White House communications official, joined the panel in 2022 as the show’s Republican voice.
While there is no official confirmation of a spinoff, ABC has recently expanded The View franchise with The Weekend View, a streaming show hosted by the Friday panel. The success of this spinoff has fueled speculation about additional projects, including one featuring Farah Griffin and Haines.
As The View continues to dominate daytime television, rumors of potential changes to the show’s lineup have surfaced, with some contracts reportedly set to expire. Fans, however, seem particularly invested in seeing Farah Griffin and Haines take on a larger role, whether on The View or in a new venture.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
