Fatal Collision in Munfordville Claims One Life

Fatal Car Crash Kentucky

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. — A fatal collision early Friday morning has left one person dead, according to Kentucky State Police.

At just after 6 a.m., authorities received a call reporting a serious crash on the 5100 block of Cub Run Highway (KY 88). Troopers responded promptly to the scene.

Investigators say a 2015 Ford F150, driven by 44-year-old Randy Hawkins of Cub Run, crossed the center line and collided with a 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by 26-year-old Jordan Pippin of Horse Cave. Pippin was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.

The ongoing investigation is being led by Detective Bo Hubbard, with assistance from the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, the Hart County Coroner’s Office, and Munfordville Fire Department, along with other Kentucky State Police personnel.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being determined, and it remains unclear if any charges will be filed.
