FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Beasley Media Group‘s Fayetteville station is bringing local voices to the forefront with its weekly community affairs show, hosted by Paul Johnson. The program, which has aired 98 episodes since its inception, highlights the movers and shakers shaping Fayetteville and Cumberland County.

The show, which airs on HOT 96.9, delves into topics ranging from wellness and entertainment to wealth, with a focus on amplifying Black Excellence. Johnson, a seasoned radio personality, guides listeners through conversations that celebrate the diversity and dynamism of the community.

“Our goal is to provide a platform for voices that often go unheard,” Johnson said. “We want to showcase the incredible talent and stories that make Fayetteville unique.”

In addition to the community affairs show, HOT 96.9 features other popular segments, including the “Second Date Update” and the MRL Show‘s “War of the Roses.” These programs, which air during the morning drive time, have become staples for local listeners, with over 1,192 episodes of “Second Date Update” and 374 episodes of “War of the Roses” produced to date.

The station’s commitment to engaging content has resonated with its audience. “We strive to create programming that not only entertains but also informs and connects our community,” said a spokesperson for Beasley Media Group.

As the show continues to grow, Johnson remains dedicated to his mission. “Every episode is an opportunity to learn something new and to celebrate the people who are making a difference,” he said. “It’s an honor to be a part of this journey.”
