LOS ANGELES, March 15, 2025 — The cast of CBS‘s “FBI: International” expressed their heartfelt farewells on social media after the network announced the cancellation of the show, which aired for four seasons. The series was a part of the “FBI” franchise and showcased crime investigations across various European locations.

Actor Luke Kleintank, who portrayed Special Agent Cameron Vo, shared a nostalgic message on Instagram, stating, “What. A. Wild ride. Four years. Ten-plus countries. Wow. Never did I think this would be my life.” Kleintank reflected on his time spent in Hungary, noting, “I’ve lived in Hungary longer than L.A.” He expressed gratitude for the experiences, adding that he learned “a wee bit” of Hungarian and enjoyed local cuisine and culture.

He continued, “It’s been challenging and beautiful to have played Cameron Vo. As an actor, being able to learn on set every day for 10 months a year has been the best intense learning experience. I’m filled with gratitude. And now it’s time to graduate and grow again.”

His co-star, Carter Redwood, who played Europol Agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson, echoed similar sentiments. “There are no words,” he wrote in his farewell message. “So many fantastic friendships on screen and off. Thank you to all the people who worked their asses off and made this possible. Legends all.”

“FBI: International” premiered in September 2021 and quickly gained a dedicated viewership. However, ratings dropped in its fourth season, with total viewership down over eight percent compared to season three. Despite this decline, the show maintained an average of 6.53 million viewers this season, placing it within the upper tier of CBS dramas.

Relatedly, CBS also canceled other entries in the “FBI” franchise, leaving fans surprised given the strong connections viewers made with the series and its characters. A spokesperson for CBS stated that the decision to cancel was made after careful consideration of the network’s future programming strategy.

As the show’s conclusion approaches, Kleintank encouraged fans to stay connected and continue their support for the other projects the cast members may pursue in the future. “It’s been an honor to have lived in Hungary and to share this journey with you all,” Kleintank concluded.

The final season of “FBI: International” is expected to air its concluding episodes in the coming weeks, wrapping up the storyline set against picturesque European backdrops. Fans have expressed holding out hope for the possibility of another network picking up the show for future seasons.
