Finn Wolfhard Delivers Live Performance of New Song

NEW YORK, NY — Finn Wolfhard, known for his role in the popular series “Stranger Things,” showcased his musical talent in a live performance of “Everytown There’s a Darling” from his debut album, “Happy Birthday.” The event took place at Vevo Studios, a leading music video network, which offers artists a platform to connect with fans through live visual performances.

The performance displayed top-notch audio and production quality, allowing Wolfhard to present his authentic self to viewers. Vevo’s series aims to give both emerging and established artists the opportunity to express themselves freely.

Wolfhard’s debut album, released earlier this summer, consists of nine personal tracks. He created the album following a personal challenge to write 50 songs before the end of 2022. Reflecting on his writing journey, Wolfhard admitted that while he wrote many less successful pieces, a few made it into his former bands, Calpurnia and The Aubreys.

He has recognized recurring themes throughout his music, including identity, anxieties, childhood memories, and feelings of loneliness. Wolfhard said, “I started realizing a general theme in a lot of the other songs involving my identity, anxieties, nostalgia, childhood and loneliness. All of that was a part of a bigger puzzle.”

On juggling his careers, Wolfhard described music as something he can control, contrasting it with acting. “Music for me has always been something that I can control. And while I’m really grateful for acting, it’s just a different thing now that I’m an adult,” he shared. He enjoys the solitary process of songwriting, stating, “When I am by myself and get to play guitar and write a song, it’s a different kind of feeling I’m after.”
