Philadelphia Flyers Nhl Game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers secured a 3-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. Travis Konecny led the Flyers with a goal and an assist as the team swept their two-game road trip.

The Predators opened the scoring just 1:44 into the game. Filip Forsberg‘s shot deflected off Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie Drysdale before getting past Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar.

Despite the early setback, the Flyers rallied back. Matvei Michkov tied the game at 4:43 of the second period, scoring his second goal of the season with a wrist shot from the slot after a setup from Cam York.

Noah Cates followed with a goal that gave the Flyers the lead with just 2:23 remaining in the second period. He tapped in a rebound off Drysdale’s shot, marking his fourth goal of the season.

Konecny iced the game with an empty-net goal, his fifth of the season, with just over a minute left. The Flyers controlled the game and limited Nashville to just three shots in the final period.

Vladar made 23 saves for the Flyers, improving his record to 5-0-1 against the Predators. Juuse Saros saved 23 shots for Nashville, which had its three-game point streak snapped.

Philadelphia’s next matchup is on Saturday when they host the Ottawa Senators, while Nashville will also play at home against the Dallas Stars.
