Fortnite Lawless Season 2 Gameplay Trailer

LOS ANGELES, CA — Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 will conclude on February 21, 2025, at 11 PM PT (2 AM ET). Players have just hours left to complete their challenges and finish all tiers of the Battle Pass before the new season titled “Lawless” begins.

The upcoming season promises significant changes, including the introduction of a crime theme featuring train heists and bank robberies. The promotional materials suggest a style reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto, incorporating a dark urban vibe.

“Run amok in Crime City – gold vaults, Rocket Drills, and so much mayhem,” Fortnite teased via social media. New gameplay elements include the ability to dual-wield weapons, adding a fresh twist to standard combat mechanics.

Returning character Midas, originally introduced in Chapter 2, Season 2, will be a key figure in the Lawless Battle Pass. His comeback indicates that this season will leverage themes from his first appearance.

“Expect to see armored trains and new banks to loot,” said a representative from Epic Games. “The trailer shows players using both an SMG and a shotgun at the same time, further enhancing the action.”

Additionally, the Lawless season will feature crossover content, including Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat franchise. This collaboration is expected to introduce new powers tied to the iconic fighting game.

Players can explore new points of interest (POIs) such as Crime City and melting snowfields, along with returning items like the Rocket Ram and a variety of new weapons including a Mammoth Pistol. The initial gameplay trailer will reveal even more details closer to the season launch.

The end-of-season live event, which took place on February 15, showcased a dramatic battle involving an NPC named Daigo, further building anticipation for what lies ahead. Despite concerns earlier in the season, Chapter 6, Season 1 has been well-received, meaning expectations are high for Season 2.

Fortnite’s ongoing success reflects its ability to reinvent itself, drawing in new players while keeping longtime fans engaged. As the clock ticks down to the launch of Season 2, community excitement is palpable.

The server downtime following the end of Season 1 usually lasts several hours, but players can expect to start the new season early Friday morning, February 21. Until then, players are encouraged to complete remaining tasks and challenges to maximize their Battle Pass rewards.
