LOS ANGELES, CA — Epic Games is set to launch the highly anticipated Mandalorian Rising update for Fortnite on May 22, 2025. This update will introduce exciting new content, including a Jetpack and weapon enhancements that aim to shake up the current competitive gameplay.

The Mandalorian Rising update comes just after the introduction of an AI-powered Darth Vader character in the game. Players can expect the new Mandalorian Jetpack to provide unique traversal options across the Chapter 6 Island. This addition is expected to add strategic depth, particularly for players who typically wield shotguns or snipers.

According to the official Fortnite website, the update could impact combat dynamics. The unvaulted Mandalorian Jetpack will allow players to access high ground quickly, offering an alternative to melee weapons like lightsabers. The ability to fly should shift the current meta, particularly since the player base has leaned heavily towards close-range tactics with melee weapons.

In addition to the Jetpack, the update will unveil new weapons, such as the Amban Sniper Rifle and potentially the WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols, which may allow players to dual-wield. This strategic variety is crucial as players adapt to the evolving combat scenarios in Fortnite.

Fans of the Mandalorian franchise can also look forward to a new skin bundle featuring Din Djarin. This bundle includes customizable options and will be available for purchase in the Item Shop. Notably, the upcoming skins will now offer players more ways to personalize their characters.

Eager players can start looking for the Mandalorian Rising items to drop into the game’s loot pool on the release date. Epic Games has not yet confirmed if there will be downtime or a system-wide update, as the new content may roll out at the start of gameplay.

With the upcoming update, players may also have the opportunity to recruit AI versions of Mandalorian characters. Depending on the class of Mandalorian chosen—Heavy, Scout, Supply, or Medic—players could gain different perks that aid in combat.

The Mandalorian Rising promises to be a significant moment in Fortnite’s ongoing Star Wars season, blending nostalgia with fresh gameplay enhancements that could attract both longtime fans and new players alike. As excitement builds, all eyes will be on May 22.
