MARVELOUS, Japan – Players eagerly await the release of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, which will launch on June 5, 2025. This upcoming action RPG and life-simulation game will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC via Steam.

In a recent announcement, Marvelous showcased the free DLC featuring the Harvest Goddess Sakuna and her guardian Tama from Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. They will appear as villager and party members, contributing to various in-game tasks.

“Don’t be fooled by her diminutive size,” the developer stated. “Sakuna has more experience fighting with farming implements than most warriors and is a capable companion on any adventure.” Players can also enjoy new voiceovers during conversations with Sakuna.

The setting of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is Azuma, where players engage in a story surrounding a calamity known as the Celestial Collapse, causing the land to suffer. Players will take on the role of an Earth Dancer to restore the land’s glory by completing various tasks and building relationships with locals.

The game introduces two protagonists, Subaru and Kaguya, who will navigate challenges, recruit characters for combat, and manage village life. Combat will feature a variety of weapons including bows and talismans, while players can cultivate romance with both gods and mortals.

Marvelous aims to provide a rich gameplay experience, complete with seasonal themes and unique Japanese-inspired visuals, marking a significant expansion for the Rune Factory franchise.

Players interested in pre-orders can look forward to various editions, including the Earth Dancer Edition, which will include additional physical and digital content.

As anticipation builds, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma continues to generate excitement ahead of its release.
