George Strait Chris Stapleton Concert Performance

NEW YORK, NY — George Strait, known as the King of Country, is set to embark on a five-show stadium tour this summer alongside co-headliner Chris Stapleton. The tour kicks off on May 10, 2025, in Philadelphia, before making stops in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Foxborough, and concluding in Inglewood, California, on July 19.

This announcement comes as Strait continues to enjoy massive popularity, having recently released his 31st studio album, ‘Cowboys and Dreamers,’ in September 2024. Strait’s deep catalog of hits will feature prominently throughout the shows, along with new songs from his latest album.

“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back,” Strait said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year.” The tour will feature Strat’s longtime collaborator Chris Stapleton, who also has his own summer headlining concerts scheduled.

Concerts will include special guests; Parker McCollum will open for the first four shows, while Little Big Town will join the lineup for the Inglewood performance. Fans can expect a set list rich in country classics, including favorites such as ‘Amarillo by Morning’ and ‘Check Yes or No,’ with a possible inclusion of tracks from ‘Cowboys and Dreamers.’

The last time Strait and Stapleton performed together, they set a record at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field with 110,905 attendees, marking it the highest single-ticketed concert in U.S. history. Strait’s previous performances have also earned accolades, including the record for the largest indoor concert in North America.

Tickets for the summer tour will go on sale starting Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. local time. American Express cardholders will have the opportunity for a pre-sale on February 20. Tickets can be purchased through platforms like Vivid Seats, which offers a safe buyer guarantee.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate an exhilarating experience as the duo brings their dynamic performances to some of the largest football stadiums in North America. Strait’s continued ability to connect with audiences has solidified his legacy in country music, boasting more No. 1 hits than any other artist in history.

“Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year,” Strait concluded, expressing his gratitude for the support he receives from fans.
