Orchard Park, N.Y. — George Strait, known as the King of Country Music, will perform at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo on June 14, 2025. He will be joined by eleven-time GRAMMY Award winner Chris Stapleton and special guest Parker McCollum. This concert marks Strait’s return to Buffalo nearly 25 years after his last performance in the city.
The concert is part of a limited series of shows in 2025, with tickets going on sale Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. via GeorgeStrait.com. American Express Card Members can access presale tickets starting February 20, providing them the opportunity to secure seats ahead of the general public.
Strait expressed his enthusiasm for the tour, stating, “I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have.”
Strait, who has sold over 105 million albums, holds numerous records in the music industry, including the most No. 1 hits of any artist. His current studio album, “Cowboys And Dreamers,” is available now.
Chris Stapleton is also enjoying a successful run, recently winning Best Country Solo Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards and multiple awards at the CMA Awards. Stapleton’s accolades include 19 CMA and 19 ACM awards, solidifying his reputation as one of country music’s leading figures.
Parker McCollum, known for his relatable music style and critically acclaimed album “Never Enough,” is making a name for himself in the country music scene. He has been recognized as an “Artist to Watch” by major outlets, including Rolling Stone and Billboard.
This concert may be significant as it could potentially be the last major event at the current Highmark Stadium, with plans for a new facility set to open in 2026. Liz Mantel from 107.7 The Wolf remarked, “The cowboy rides away, the last hurrah at Highmark. That would be huge.”
Former concert promoter Don Tomasulo shared memories of legendary performances at the stadium, pondering the future of entertainment as the stadium prepares for its transformation. He stated, “I know the music business has changed so much. Will there be enough big bands to fill the stadium? I’m sure there will be.”
