Georgia Power Announces Key Leadership Changes to Promote Corporate Responsibility

ATLANTA, April 30, 2025 – Georgia Power, the largest electric utility in Georgia, has appointed Audrey King as the new senior vice president of Corporate Responsibility and president and CEO of the Georgia Power Foundation. The foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, helped more than 400 organizations across the state in 2024.
In her new role, King will focus on enhancing corporate responsibility, philanthropy, and community engagement. Her initiatives will emphasize education, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. King, who has over 30 years of experience with Georgia Power, began her career as a customer service representative in Macon in 1991. She held various positions in Customer Service, Sales, Distribution, and External Affairs before her latest role as senior vice president of Region External Affairs.
Kim Greene, chairman and CEO of Georgia Power, praised King’s commitment, stating, “Audrey embodies our commitment to being a Citizen Wherever We Serve and throughout her career has demonstrated her personal passion for organizations that support our neighbors and improve overall quality of life in Georgia.”
Cleve Fann has been appointed to succeed King as senior vice president of Region External Affairs. He previously held the position of vice president of strategy and support in Power Delivery. Fann’s new responsibilities involve leading regional executives, integrating strategic planning with the needs of customers, and forging key relationships to promote community engagement.
Fann started working with Georgia Power in 2000. His current focus includes the strategic development of capital programs primarily aimed at enhancing grid investment and distribution reliability. Greene indicated that Fann’s extensive knowledge and connections in Georgia will be essential as the company manages the increased energy demands from community growth.
“Georgia is experiencing extraordinary growth from the mountains to the coast, and we’re investing to reliably meet the energy needs of our customers,” Greene noted. “His knowledge and longstanding community relationships will help us provide exceptional service.”
Both King and Fann hold relevant degrees and have participated in leadership programs, equipping them for their new roles in supporting Georgia Power’s mission of delivering clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
Georgia Power serves 2.8 million customers in 155 counties and maintains a commitment to diverse energy sources, including nuclear, coal, natural gas, and renewable resources.
