Gift Of The Needy Distributes Stationery To Pupils In Overport

As part of its annual stationery drive, humanitarian aid organization, Gift of the Needy, has recently distributed stationery items to students at Astra Primary and Meadowlands Technical High School in Overport.

The distribution took place last week and brought joy to the pupils who received the much-needed supplies, which will greatly benefit them in their academic pursuits.

Gift of the Needy, based in Overport, regularly engages in outreach projects aimed at making a tangible difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

The stationery drive, done in collaboration with Freedom Stationery, has also reached many other schools in Umzinto, Port Shepstone, Stanger, and Phoenix, addressing the financial challenges faced by these institutions.

The organization’s mission is rooted in ensuring that no child is left behind, striving to support students in excelling on their academic journey.

In addition to stationery drives, Gift of the Needy is actively involved in school nutrition programs and uniform provision initiatives.

Recently, the organization responded to the water crisis by supplying thousands of liters of oxygenated, bottled water to affected areas, highlighting its commitment to community well-being.

The principals of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude for the sponsorship of stationery items and recognized the crucial role played by NGOs like Gift of the Needy in helping them achieve their goals.

Given the financial hardships many students face, initiatives like those led by Gift of the Needy play a vital role in uplifting communities and supporting educational endeavors. The organization’s humanitarian efforts continue to make a sustainable impact in the areas they serve.
