Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty File for Divorce After Nearly Six Years

LOS ANGELES, CA — Beauty YouTuber Gigi Gorgeous and her husband Nats Getty have filed for divorce after nearly six years of marriage. A representative confirmed the split in a statement issued to PEOPLE on July 2.

“Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty confirm they have amicably decided to part ways and officially file for divorce,” the statement reads. “While they have decided to end their marriage, they remain friends and have the utmost love and respect for each other.”

Nats, 32, filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on the same day. The couple met in 2016, got engaged in March 2018, and celebrated their wedding in a ceremony in Montecito, California, in July 2019.

In recent years, the pair openly discussed their journey to become parents. Gigi, 33, revealed her desire for children blossomed after they started dating. However, she had concerns about conceiving due to her hormone treatments as part of her transition.

No one had talked to her about preserving her DNA for future children, she explained. “I just really wasn’t thinking about it,” Gigi told PEOPLE in 2023. “And it wasn’t until I really got to know Nats and his values that we were like, ‘We ultimately do want kids.’”

Both had to make significant lifestyle changes to boost their chances with IVF. Gigi paused her hormone therapy after ten years, and they focused on their health. Their IVF efforts produced two embryos from the first attempt, with a total of six by December 2023, according to updates shared with PEOPLE.

Gigi has openly shared her aspirations for motherhood on her popular social media platform, where she has over 2.6 million followers. In a 2018 video, she reflected on her dreams of marriage and children, expressing her excitement and fears regarding the future.

As they embark on this new chapter, both Gigi and Nats have confirmed their commitment to remaining supportive friends.
