Glen Powell Teases Potential Chad Powers Season 2
AUSTIN, Texas — Glen Powell, the star of the popular Hulu series “Chad Powers,” expressed optimism about the possibility of a second season. His excitement comes just days before the Season 1 finale set to air on October 28, 2025.
Powell, who co-created the show with his close friend Michael Waldron, mentioned in an interview that he has “never had such a good time making anything.” He emphasized the joy of collaborating with a friend on a project that resonates with audiences.
“When you get to collaborate with one of your best pals and make something that you love so much, it brings such joy to people,” Powell said. He added, “I just really feel so proud that we’ve done this first season, and when you feel that way, you always make time to continue it. I have a lot of energy for projects like this with people I love.”
Waldron also weighed in on the potential for more episodes, stating, “If folks dig it, we’ll make more.” Despite the show’s current status, both creators remain hopeful for a second season, which would depend on audience demand.
The series, which premiered on September 30, 2025, follows Russ Holliday, a former college football player who adopts the alias “Chad Powers” to join a new team. The character is based on a sketch featuring NFL quarterback Eli Manning and has received positive feedback from fans.
Powell previously hinted that if a second season were to happen, he intended to include a storyline involving the University of Texas at Austin Longhorns. “I will definitely be showing the Texas Longhorns. The Catfish will definitely be playing the Longhorns somewhere in Season 2,” he told Deadline last month.
The finale of “Chad Powers” will wrap up the first season, but the future may be bright if viewer interest continues to grow.
