Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Engaged to Lana Sutton

Los Angeles, CA – Gerry Turner, 74, known from the reality show ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ announced his engagement to Lana Sutton on Friday, Oct. 3. He shared the joyful news on social media.

In his post, Turner wrote, “We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I love this woman,” accompanied by photos of the couple enjoying time together by the beach.

Sutton’s engagement ring features a sparkling round-cut diamond set in a diamond-encrusted band. Just two weeks earlier, the couple had posted pictures from a trip to Toronto. Sutton expressed her delight, saying, “Had a wonderful trip to Niagara Falls on the Canada side! Loved every moment with @goldengerryturner!”

The couple’s adventurous spirit has taken them on frequent trips since they began dating in March, including visits to North Carolina and various sports tournaments. “Her level of adventure and mine are very similar,” Turner noted in an April chat with PEOPLE.

This engagement comes 15 months after Turner’s divorce from Teresa Nist, who he chose on ‘The Golden Bachelor’ in 2023. Their televised wedding took place in January 2024, but the couple separated 10 months later.

During a podcast appearance, Nist remarked, “You really can’t know somebody in four weeks.” She alluded that their distance was not the sole reason for their split.

Gerry resides in Indiana, while Nist is based in New Jersey. They cited family commitments and geographic distance as key challenges in their relationship.

In December 2024, Turner shared a health diagnosis but affirmed his positive outlook. “I feel great,” he stated. “Until I have any symptoms, there’s no treatment.”
