Goosebumps: The Vanishing Trailer Unveils Chilling Mysteries and David Schwimmer’s Horror Debut
The highly anticipated second season of the Disney+ series *Goosebumps*, titled *Goosebumps: The Vanishing*, has released its trailer, teasing a new wave of horror and mystery. The season follows twins Cece and Devin Brewer as they spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced father, Anthony, played by David Schwimmer.
The story begins with Cece and Devin adjusting to life with their recently divorced father, but their summer quickly takes a dark turn when they discover a threat lurking in their new surroundings. As they delve deeper, they uncover the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994, one of whom was their uncle. This revelation sets them on a quest to uncover the truth, aided by their friends Alex, CJ, and Frankie.
David Schwimmer, known for his role in *Friends*, makes his horror debut in *Goosebumps: The Vanishing*. Schwimmer expressed his excitement about the role during a panel at New York Comic Con, stating that he is a fan of horror and had a great time filming the series. He highlighted that the show has an “emotional, grounded backstory” and combines action, comedy, and suspense.
The trailer introduces several key elements, including the ominous warning from Anthony to stay out of the basement, which the twins inevitably ignore, leading to a series of unsettling events. The season will adapt several stories from R.L. Stine’s *Goosebumps* books, such as “Monster Blood,” “The Haunted Car,” “The Girl Who Cried Monster,” “Welcome to Camp Nightmare,” and “Stay Out of the Basement”.
*Goosebumps: The Vanishing* will premiere on January 10, 2025, with all eight episodes available on Disney+ and Hulu.
