Grace Potter Medicine Album Release

LOS ANGELES, CA — Grammy-nominated musician Grace Potter has released her long-awaited album, ‘Medicine,’ produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett through Hollywood Records. Potter reflects on her creative journey, stating, “I remember being in the studio with T Bone and feeling like this was everything I’d been waiting for. It never occurred to me that the album might not get released, but I’m at peace with the fact that it’s taken this long.”

‘Medicine’ captures Potter at a transformative moment in her career. Originally recorded in 2008, the album was shelved but has finally come to light, providing a thrilling addition to her already extensive catalog. “This is an album that truly belongs in its own space, and I’m so happy to finally give it the platform I know it deserves,” said Potter.

The album was developed with renowned musicians including Jim Keltner, Dennis Crouch, Marc Ribot, and Keefus Ciancia. It strays from the high-spirited roots-rock of her early work, bringing a shadowy intensity to her soulful songs. Potter’s vocals have been shaped by her collaborations, revealing new depths and nuances in her artistry.

The tracklist features twelve songs, with highlights including the title track, which has become a staple in Potter’s live performances, and ‘Paris (Ooh La La),’ her first song written on her iconic Gibson Flying V. Potter joins T Bone Burnett’s vision for the album, resulting in a unique sound marked by profound lyrical depth and a rich sonic landscape.

Potter’s recent activities also include appearances on popular shows like ‘Live! With Kelly and Mark’ and features in prestigious publications such as ‘The New York Times.’ Last weekend, she opened for Kenny Chesney in Las Vegas, performing their Grammy-nominated hit ‘You & Tequila.’

“Over the years I’ve brought in more elements of dream states and magic into my live set, which was influenced by my work with T Bone,” Potter said. As she continues to break new ground in her music, Grace Potter’s ‘Medicine’ serves as a testament to her growth as an artist.
