Grand Theft Auto Vi Trailer Release

LOS ANGELES, California — Rockstar Games unveiled the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on May 6, 2025, reeling in an astounding 475 million views across various platforms. This staggering figure emphasizes the immense anticipation for the open-world game’s release, slated for May 26, 2026.

The first trailer, launched in 2023, garnered 93 million views during its initial release period. That trailer had been exclusive to YouTube and was recognized as the largest non-music video debut on the platform. Now, Rockstar states that this latest release marks the biggest video launch in history, surpassing even the popular film trailers for “Deadpool” and “The Fantastic Four.”

The hype surrounding the trailer reflects a long-standing demand for the franchise, which had its last major installment, Grand Theft Auto V, released in 2013. The current trailer features the song “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters, leading to a staggering 182,000% increase in Spotify streams following its debut. According to Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s global head of editorial, music has always been integral to the Grand Theft Auto experience.

“Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else,” Ong said. “It’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.”

Rockstar Games has reportedly invested over $1 billion in developing GTA VI, a sequel that promises to take players back to Vice City, mirroring Miami’s vibrant culture. This investment aligns with the franchise’s history, as GTA V has amassed nearly $10 billion in revenue since its launch, aided by consistent updates and new missions.

As excitement builds for Grand Theft Auto VI, players eagerly await what the game has to offer upon its release.
