Grange Hill Star Stuart Organ Passes Away At 72

British actor Stuart Organ, best known for his role as Mr Robson in the iconic children’s TV series Grange Hill, has passed away at the age of 72, according to his representatives.

Organ, who portrayed the firm yet fair character Peter Robson on the long-running show, was a pivotal figure in the school drama that ran from 1978 to 2008, tackling various social issues along the way.

The veteran actor’s career spanned across multiple TV series including the soap opera Brookside and the cult classic Doctor Who, where he appeared alongside actor Sylvester McCoy.

Aside from his television work, Organ also had a strong presence in the theatre world, starting his professional journey at Leeds Playhouse in 1975 with a performance in Tom Stoppard’s play.

His talent was not only limited to the small screen, as he appeared in several films such as Those Glory Glory Days, Present Spirits, and Fork in the Road, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
