Canadian musician Grimes has taken to social media to address the technical issues that plagued her performance at the 2024 music festival in Indio, California.

In a statement posted on (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the artist expressed regret for the performance glitches that occurred during her set at Coachella‘s Sahara tent on Saturday evening.

Grimes explained that she typically manages all aspects of her shows but had outsourced certain tasks for the Coachella performance, leading to critical errors in the track organization and BPM programming.

During her set, technical difficulties caused Grimes to repeatedly restart a track, which played at double the speed, hampering her ability to mix effectively.

Video footage captured Grimes voicing her frustration to the audience, highlighting the ongoing technical challenges that have been a recurring issue in her live performances.

The artist vowed to personally oversee all technical aspects of her upcoming performance at Coachella’s second weekend, ensuring a flawless show for her fans.

Grimes shared her dedication to learning from the experience and delivering a seamless performance in the future, promising to engage more with the audience and avoid getting bogged down in technical troubleshooting on stage.

As the Coachella music festival continues, fans can look forward to upcoming performances by artists like Doja Cat, J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, and Lil Yachty on day three.
