Memphis Grizzlies Vs Sacramento Kings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Sacramento Kings 137-96 on Thursday night, marking the Kings’ eighth consecutive loss in the NBA season.

Santi Aldama led the way for the Grizzlies with a game-high 29 points, while Zach Edey added 21 points. The victory ended Memphis’s own five-game losing streak. Vince Williams had a standout performance with a career-best 15 assists, contributing to a franchise record of 42 assists in the game.

De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 26 points, going 10 of 17 from the field. Maxine Raynaud added 12 points, while Keegan Murray, making his season debut after recovering from a thumb injury, scored 11 points alongside Drew Eubanks.

The Kings have struggled recently, losing their last eight games by double digits, including four by at least 27 points. The 41-point defeat on Thursday was their largest margin of loss this season.

Before the game, the Kings announced starting center Domantas Sabonis is sidelined due to a partial meniscus tear in his left knee, suffered during Sunday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He will be reassessed in three to four weeks.

Without Sabonis, the Grizzlies took advantage inside. Edey and Jock Landale excelled, combining for 29 points and missing just one of 13 shots in the first half. Memphis shot 54% in the first two quarters and led 75-47 at halftime, their most points in a half this season.

The Grizzlies extended their lead to 37 points at 113-76 entering the fourth quarter. Memphis will next face the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, while the Kings will complete their five-game road trip against the Denver Nuggets.
