Groovin The Moo 2024 Announces Dates and Venue Change
One of Australia‘s most beloved music traveling festivals, Groovin The Moo, has just announced its highly anticipated dates for 2024. Spanning over six venues across the country, the festival is set to kick off on April 25, coinciding with Anzac Day, in Wayville, South Australia. The festivities will then continue on April 26 in Canberra, followed by April 27 in Bendigo.
After a short break, musicians and fans will gather in Newcastle on May 4, traveling further to the Sunshine Coast on May 5, and concluding the festival in Bunbury on May 11.
This year’s edition of Groovin The Moo brings a significant change in the lineup, with the festival relocating from Maitland to Newcastle in New South Wales. The new foreshore venue, equipped to accommodate up to 25,000 festival-goers, replaces the longstanding Maitland Showgrounds, which had been the festival’s home since 2006.
While the organizers have kept the lineup under wraps for now, they have promised to unveil the highly anticipated lineup “very soon.” Groovin The Moo, renowned for its commitment to regional locations, has been a staple of the Australian music scene since its inception in 2005. However, due to the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival was forced to take a hiatus in 2020 and 2021.
