Guy Ritchie Releases Trailer for WWII Film ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’
Director Guy Ritchie has released the first official trailer for his upcoming World War II film, ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’, which is based on the book of the same name by historian Damien Lewis. The movie tells the true story of a secret WWII organization founded by Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming, known as the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. The organization consists of a group of British special forces who utilize unconventional fighting techniques to take down the Nazis.
The trailer opens with a note that this is a true story, but given Ritchie’s style, it is safe to say that there will be some additional action and excitement beyond what the history books tell us. Henry Cavill, known for his role as Superman, stars as the rogue agent and leader of the group, Gus March-Phillipps. He is joined by a star-studded cast including Reacher‘s Alan Ritchson, Eiza González from Baby Driver, Henry Golding, Cary Elwes, and Anna Todd.
‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ is set to be released by Lionsgate on April 19. The film marks a collaboration between director Guy Ritchie and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, known for their work on action-packed films such as ‘Top Gun’.
