Ju Haknyeon Meeting News

SEOUL, South Korea — Ju Haknyeon has been removed from the K-pop group THE BOYZ, and his contract with One Hundred Label has been terminated following reports of his meeting with a former Japanese adult film actress. This decision was made public on June 10, 2025.

The controversy began when it was revealed that Haknyeon had met Kirara Asuka, a former AV star, at a bar in Tokyo‘s Roppongi district on May 29, 2025. During their time together, they were allegedly seen drinking, and reports suggest moments of physical closeness, including hugging.

One Hundred Label stated, “We recently took action to suspend Ju Haknyeon’s activities as soon as we were informed that he was involved in a controversial incident to take time to thoroughly investigate and verify the facts.” The label emphasized that maintaining trust in Haknyeon as an artist had become increasingly difficult.

The company’s official statement continued: “After sufficient discussions with the members of THE BOYZ, we decided that Ju Haknyeon will be withdrawing from the group, and his exclusive contract will be terminated. This decision was made to protect both the members of THE BOYZ and the group as a whole.”

As of June 10, Ju Haknyeon will no longer be engaging in any activities with THE BOYZ. One Hundred Label mentioned that they would fully support the remaining members as they continue their promotions.

Netizens have expressed their dismay regarding this situation, highlighting its significance within the K-pop industry. It marks one of the first instances where a boy group member has faced such serious repercussions for personal conduct.
