Halle Berry Celebrates Daughter Nahla’s Early College Acceptance

LOS ANGELES, California — Halle Berry is celebrating a significant milestone for her daughter, Nahla Ariela, who has received an early acceptance into college. The 59-year-old actress shared her excitement on Instagram on Monday, Oct. 13, posting a photo of a pink funfetti cake with the message, “You did it Nahla!!” written in white icing.
“Congratulations to my sweet angel Nahla for her early college acceptance!” Berry wrote in her Instagram Stories post. The cake was presented in a decorative box labeled, “Today is the sweetest day.” Nahla is Berry’s eldest child, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
The Oscar-winning actress also has a son, Maceo-Robert, 12, with her ex-husband Olivier Martinez. Earlier this year, during an appearance on the “Today with Jenna & Friends” show, Berry discussed Nahla’s academic journey and her plans for a college summer program. “She’s going to a college summer program, the college that she’s hoping to go to next year,” Berry noted.
While excited about Nahla’s future, Berry expressed that she is not overly anxious about her daughter leaving for college. “Yes, will I worry? Of course. But am I excited for her to start her life, to figure out who she’s going to be? Absolutely,” she said.
Berry highlighted the importance of balancing motherhood with personal aspirations, stating that mothers need to maintain their own lives and passions. “We can still be seen as good mothers… but also, we have to be there for ourselves because these kids will grow up and move on,” she explained. Berry’s remarks paint a picture of a mother who cherishes her children while also valuing her own identity.
The news of Nahla’s college acceptance has drawn congratulations from fans and friends alike, showcasing the proud moment for both mother and daughter.
