Halle Berry Embraces Her Age and Advocates for Women in Menopause

Los Angeles, CA — Halle Berry is redefining what it means to age gracefully. The Oscar-winning actress, now 58, is embracing her experience and using her platform to advocate for women navigating menopause.
In recent weeks, Berry has appeared on Instagram promoting her new lubricant, ‘Let’s Spin,’ a product launched through her wellness brand Respin. The actress collaborated with her boyfriend, Van Hunt, while filming a promotional video from their hotel room during the Cannes Film Festival.
Friends close to Berry describe her as a complex individual. “Halle marches to the beat of her own drum,” said a long-time acquaintance. “She’s always been much more than just her beauty, showcasing a unique sweetness alongside moments of unpredictability.”
Berry has previously opened up about her tough past relationships, including three marriages. From 1993 to 1997, she was married to baseball player David Justice, followed by musician Eric Benét (2001-2005), and French actor Olivier Martinez (2013-2016). She shares two children, 11-year-old Maceo with Martinez and 17-year-old Nahla with model Gabriel Aubry, despite tumultuous custody battles.
“She’s owning this age beautifully,” a source said regarding Berry’s advocacy for middle-aged women. “Her relationship with Van helps her express her joy openly.” During a recent appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show, Berry candidly discussed the reality of her sex life in midlife, emphasizing the importance of communication between partners.
In December, she launched a line of intimacy products aimed at supporting women’s health. Berry stated, “It got pretty rough for a minute; conversation is key. Women need to have courage to talk about these changes with their partners.”
Despite her openness, not everyone is supportive. Television host Megyn Kelly criticized Berry’s recent Instagram video. “Who celebrates Mother’s Day by talking about lubricant with their boyfriend in bed?” she questioned, suggesting Berry’s behavior is “bizarre.”
Nevertheless, social media comments from fans generally praised Berry for living authentically. “Miss Berry living her best life,” one follower remarked.
Berry’s recent appearances at public events, including the Met Gala and Cannes, have drawn significant attention. She spotted a stunning gown by LaQuan Smith at the Met, which some described as daring. As a member of the Cannes jury this year, Berry expressed her thoughts on the festival’s new dress codes, which include a ban on elaborate trains and nudity, saying it might be a good rule.
The actress is also set to release her latest film, ‘Crime 101’, next February, having completed the project alongside a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo.
Regardless of the scrutiny she faces, a friend emphasized Berry’s talent and hard work: “You can’t take her accolades away from her, nor should you want to.”
