Halsey Groped Concert Incident

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Fans are expressing horror following an incident during Halsey’s concert at The Anthem on November 4. The 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, was performing her song “Is There Somewhere” when a fan reached up her leather skirt and groped her.

While Halsey was engaging with the crowd from the front of the stage, footage shows a concertgoer touching her thigh and then slipping their hand under her skirt. A security guard quickly intervened, swatting the individual’s hand away. Halsey was reportedly unaware of what occurred and continued singing.

The disturbing moment has since gone viral, sparking outrage online. Fans expressed their anger on social media, condemning the invasive actions of the audience member. One fan account urged, “Respect Halsey and DO NOT touch her or anyone like this without their consent. You people are unbelievable.” Another fan described the act as “disgusting ew,” and many demanded that the individual be banned from future concerts.

This incident raises further concerns about safety for performers. Just last month, fellow artist Billie Eilish faced a similarly alarming situation when a fan aggressively grabbed her during a performance in Miami. These events have highlighted the ongoing issue of respect within concert settings.

Following the Washington, D.C. show, Halsey performed in Minneapolis on November 6 and is scheduled to continue her Back to Badlands Tour, which began on October 14 in Los Angeles and will conclude in Melbourne, Australia on February 20.

Halsey had also recently revealed a “minor medical emergency” after a show in Boston, where she spent several hours in the emergency room. “I am A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight!” she wrote on Instagram, assuring fans that she was back to performing.

As discussions about performer safety continue, fans look for reassurance that boundaries will be respected in future concerts.
